Light Shift

Light Shift is inspired by how the frequency of sound and light waves change as the source of the noise moves toward or away from an observer. Also known as the doppler effect. The piece was conceived in connection with the location, which is next to a dark one way tunnel you need to honk to let people know you're there. Made from translucent plexiglass, acrylic globes and warm LED lighting.

The piece is permanently on display on the Flatiron building in Saint Johnsbury, VT.
